What Our Customers Say

Great experience with Stop N Store. Exceptional service and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend for storage needs.

Very clean and well maintained! Gene was very helpful and great to work with. They went out of their way to help accommodate our move. Could not have had a better experience. Highly recommend if you need a storage unit.

Great places and friendly staff. I used for 10 years, i will use them again. Family ran business and local owned.

I’ve used Stop and Store on multiple occasions covering several years.. The management has always been excellent to deal with and the property has always been maintained exceptionally well.. I found their pricing to be very competitive as well!!

Great team that worked with us while we changed banking information and had a payment hiccup and made closing out the unit effortless. The space is excellent and in a great spot for everyone.

A great place to rent some extra space! I have rented some other local area places over the last few years, but have not seen the care and upkeep as shown here at Stop-N-Store. The unit was clean and accessible, and I've appreciated the use of their space for the last 10 months. The entire area is well-lit, and I have seen maintenance staff outside doing their duties on multiple occasions. Quite refreshing! I would highly recommend Stop-N-Store Self Storage to anyone in the greater Whitmore Lake area who needs some clean, affordable and well-maintained storage space!

I have been using Stop-N-Store for over 6 years - sometimes more than one unit. It was convenient and secure. I appreciated working with the team over the years!

Great customer service and quality units. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience renting a unit from them, everyone was always nice and understanding of everything and always there to help, I’ll be back!

I can’t recommend this facility enough! I’ve been with them for years and I’ve had nothing but friendly and professional service!

Stop-N-Store makes it very easy to store with them, from their payment system to the entrance gate, what a FIRST CLASS OPERATION!! Thanks Guys

We absolutely valued our experience with Stop & Store storage which is located just a few hundred yards south of the shore of Whitmore Lake. Simply take a look at the reviews, compliments and recommendations of all the many satisfied customers who were fortunate enough to have those brothers oversee their personal items for periods long and short. The facility is kept clean and modernized but, more importantly, we always felt that our items were safe and secure as so many others have stated in their own reviews. We, also, experienced a time when our unit was not properly locked and, within a few hours, we received a call from them. Anyone who chooses Stop and Store will feel that same feeling of security for their possessions that we have felt for these several years. Additionally, don’t be shy about stopping into the office for any concerns you might have or just to chat awhile as they are as friendly as they are protective of your belongings.

Nice storage facility. Well maintained. The 2 brothers are honest and try their best to accommodate. Good people.

Clean and safe storage.

Family friendly ., I would recommend this storage place to anyone best most professional customer service I have encountered in a long time I would recommend them highly

These guys are friendly and accommodating. Once I didn't secure the lock properly- they called me within a few hours to let me know! Not one issue in 8 years!

Need storage? This is the place to go! The owners are amazing, very helpful, and easy to get along and work with. They will ensure your storage needs are met in a professional, simple, and timely manner. We were one of their original customers, we have kept our snowmobiles and trailer there for year without an issue. The only reason we are leaving this place is because we sold our sleds and trailer. These storage units along with the property are very clean. Thank you, EVERYONE at Stop N Store for all your help over the past several years!

I was one of the original renters when the owners bought the facility 14 years ago. Over the years I’ve rented 10x30, 10x20, boat space and indoor temperature controlled units. I’ve watched this place grow from an ordinary storage lot to a best-in-class storage facility. Tom, Gene and George have completely renovated, expanded, updated, managed and maintained Stop N Store to the highest standards; this place is meticulous! Over all the time and all the rental units I leased through them there was never an issue and they always made me feel like “family” was watching over my possessions. This is the finest storage facility I’ve ever leased from….without exception!

Good and 'simple' experience. Very helpful at desk, explanatory, and made the whole process very easy and convenient. Highly recommend if looking for storage.

I loved using Stop N Store! Staff was super friendly and accommodating when switching to a larger unit. Units were clean and spacious and I never had any issues with bugs or anything. Easy check in and check out, and simple autopayment with reminders two days before each payment was pulled. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I was a tenant here for more than 10 years! They were always friendly and available whenever I needed assistance. Thanks guys!

I've used this storage for years just moved out. Top notch customer service. Easy in and out , safe secure and clean what more could you ask for. 5 stars all day.

Need storage? This is the place to go! The owners are amazing, very helpful, and easy to get along and work with. They will ensure your storage needs are met in a professional, simple, and timely manner. I have been with them since 2021 and never had any issues with theft, the owners, or critters. These storage units along with the property are very clean. Knowing my belongings are in a clean, safe, and secure establishment gave me peace of mind. Thank you, George, at Stop N Store for all your help over the past several years!

A good place to store your goods. After 3 years, none of my stuff was ate up by mice or ruined. Friendly staff, safe and secure storage facility.

Best storage place ever!

It has been a real pleasure renting from you guys. You have done so well keeping the grounds in such good clean order. You have very fair and competitive pricing and even went out of your way to allow me to pay every two weeks. Thanks again If I ever need a storage again Stop N Store is where I will be.

I had a storage unit for several years. I never had any problems at all. Everything is clean and feels safe. The people in the office are friendly, kind and helpful.

Simple, safe and clean. We kept furniture in building F for nearly 3 years, and there were NO issues with water, rodents, insects, etc. Furthermore, after 1 visit where we forgot to lock up, I quickly received a text from management letting me know that my unit wasn't secured. Awesome knowing how proactive they are in keeping an eye on things.

Great business. Updated office and keypad entry. Clean and well kept. Easy access off the freeway.

We have kept our RV here for a couple of years now. Safe, lit, cameras watching, we could see our RV from rt23. Easy 24hr access, great price compared to other rv storage places. Best of all was the family that owns and runs it. Nice, professional and helpful.

Clean secure facility! Great customer service! Highly recommended 👍

We stored things here in two different units over this past year and received great service. They were responsive, friendly, and kept us on a waitlist for a larger unit when we needed it. Much appreciated!

Gene and team were so easy to work with. I called them last minute for 2 units and they were always able to accomodate me. They were great in communicating with us about our bills and such (through text message! Loved it!). The units were dry, easy to access, and the yard was always tidy. If I ever need storage again, I know I'll use them! Prices were great too!

Nice clean place kept up very well.

Very clean and dry storage units. Well maintained especially in winter. Easy access and plenty of room to turn around pulling a trailer. No need to try to back up a trailer for those like me who can't back up well. Highly recommended. I stole this from another review but it is 100% accurate. The team at Stop-N-Store exceeded my expectations from start to finish of our storage needs.

This is the place to go for your storage needs. Well kept facility and great customer care. My storage unit kept my belongings clean and dry. Plenty of room to maneuver your vehicle to load and unload your stuff. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, this was a very professional experience. Staff was very helpful getting me into my unit, and second unit as well. Easy to get to all units, even with my very large rental truck. Getting out at mid month was a snap also. Would go back again in a heartbeat. HHIGHLY RECOMENDED.

Awesome storage facility. Reasonably priced and love the security. The people there are excellent and helpful. Great place for all your storage needs.

Love it

Safe clean well maintained. Been a customer for years.

6 out of 5 stars! Always clean and has a great staff.

Customer service is top notch. Family owned and ran. They are always there for their customers. Everything is clean from their main office to their storage facilities. If they take care of their facilities this well, just imagine how well they take care of their customers. They even care for their landscaping!

I have stored household goods here for nearly two years and have found the management to be friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well-maintained. My items have been secure, no water or other damage, and the security is great. I highly recommend these folks for your storage needs.

Stop-N-Store is the absolute BEST storage facility that I have ever used out of 5 that I've used in Michigan. The people here are kind, compassionate, caring, trustworthy, clean, responsive, professional and honest. I would highly recommend this business after using them for over 5 years now. They also have offered the best prices and service that I have found anywhere. Although I'm not related to the owners in any way, I've gotten to know them over time and I must confess that they often treat my wife and I better than our own family members (for real). I think you will really like this company.

An absolute outstanding business by all definitions!

We needed short-term storage for some business items. We chose Stop-N-Store because the location is convenient for us. We were pleasantly surprised by both the staff and the service. The facility is clean and very well-run, and the fact that it is family owned is a huge plus. If we ever need additional storage in the future or are asked for a recommendation, Stop-N-Store will be the place, without a doubt.

This family run business is excellent. They really take good care of the facilities and are kind to their customers. I have used them twice for moving and would recommend them!

This place is very nice and clean. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I had my stuffed stored for over 3 years and never had any issues. Very safe and secure.

Very nice place to store your stuff.....and management can't get any better, their willing to work with you as long as you stay in contact with them. They understand people hit hard times. George and Gene thank you for being so patient with us. You both are amazing. Thank you for everything

Great place

This is a great family owned and opporated company. They treat you well every step of the way. Once we took our camper for a week and the called to make sure we were the ones who took it just to be sure it wasn’t picked up by someone else. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Super friendly and attentive staff, always willing to help. This is the best storage facility I have ever used.

Was a wonderful place to go

The units are clean, dry and easy to access. The staff is also friendly to work with.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a less expensive storage solution with easy to work with owners who are constantly improving the property. Great place.

Awesome place to store everything on

Great service, friendly staff. Emptied my unit on Sunday afternoon and received a call first thing Monday morning checking to see if I moved out. Highly recommended!

Clean, well taken care of, well lit at night. Ability to have 24-hour access was great for my work schedule. I rented a 10x20 unit for a little over a year, never had any problems. I often work until 3am, if I had to stop by after work I always felt safe and secure with their pin-pad access and gated perimeter. I wouldn't hesitate to rent space from them again and recommend them to others in the area.

I own a small business and rented units at Stop N Store for over two years. During that period, my business flourished and much of it was in part to having the space that I needed to expand at an affordable price. Stop N Store is a family-owned business, and over the course of renting there, I came to know Tom and his sons, Gene and George. They were fun to talk to, knowledgeable people, always there during hours of operation and always working to maintain the facility and/or expand it with new projects. They were very accommodating to the fact that I quite regularly needed to have LTL shipments received there, which was very important to my business, and they also didn't mind that I was often there working with my products. With mixed emotions, I was able to purchase my own warehouse in West Michigan and had to end my monthly lease of the 12'x40' and 16'x40' units that I became so familiar with there. I'll miss the affordability, flexibility, knowing that my products are in a well-secured environment, their dedication to keeping the place well-maintained, and most of all, I'll miss them. They are good, honest and reasonable people and I highly recommend Stop N Store to anyone seeking extra space for their possessions or business needs.

You will not find a better storage facility in Michigan! They have upgraded everything! Owners are friendly, professional and helpful! They care about their customers and take the time to make sure your experience is second to none. Great business!

The owners and staff are incredible. Polite, prompt and attentive! I had a small problem with the overhead door; it was fixed immediately. The entire place is spotless and even has flowers on the grounds. Could NOT be more satisfied!

Awesome! !!!

Convenient, clean, friendly service and a great value when compared to other storage places. The auto pay feature is a time saver and peace of mind.

We parked our flat bed trailer here for a few months. The facility is very clean, high security and friendly people. Would recommend and use again.

Excellent customer service! Would highly recommend if you are in need of a storage unit - this is the place to go!

Great storage facility. Moved from out of town and even though units were taken , I gave them my information and they called as soon as a unit opened up, which was not long at all. Easy online bill pay, none of my items were damaged, and each access to unit at all times. I would recommend this facility to others for their storage needs.

EZ transition and reasonably priced, clean facility and secure.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. We rented just a for a little while but we didn't have any issues. There was a little bit of water that came into our unit, but we assumed that may happen as is poured for days and we didn't get a climate controlled unit. We just made sure to put things on the ground we didn't want to get wet. Otherwise, it was a great place to store our things.

Used this service for years. They were very professional and accommodating. If something needed attention they went out of their way to help.

Very friendly staff, never had any problems accessing my unit when I needed to. The place is kept clean and safe. No issues closing out my unit there as well. I emptied my unit and took the lock off the night before and I got a phone call from the staff the very next morning contacting me if I needed the unit anymore. It's good to know that if my unit was broken into it would have been noticed very quickly. They also have cameras there as well watching the entrance. No complaints at all I would continue renting there if I wasn't moving to another town in a month.
